05 and Up guys

Hey I was wondering if anyone with the driver side glove box in their dash could take a picture of that part of their dash for me. I'm interested in the cubby hole above it where the upfitter switches normally mount.

I'm trying to do an 05 center dash conversion on my early 99 and I realized this cubby space is just an open hole on the piece I got (rolled 06 at the local salvage yard). If I could get a detailed pic of this cubby on a truck without the upfitters and one with them, that would be great!

I'm trying to check through diagrams to see if theres an additional pocket they sell for this or if its part of the rest of the 05+ dash. Any help you guys can give is appreciated!

Thanks
-Mark

The brake control and switches or pockets snap in from the front. If you have just the dash piece without anything in it, and you're not putting the brake controller or switches in, you just need to get the cubby's to snap in. I know they make individual cubby's for use next to the brake control when not using the switches and vice versa, but I'm not sure if they have just one larger cubby for both. Something like that should be fairly cheap from a ford dealer or junk yard. Hope that helps...

That helps tremendously THANKS!! Thats what I was thinking myself but having never been inside a running 05+ truck (besides the rolled junker I pulled this off) I'm just going on speculation.

I'll stop by ford on my lunch break and see what they got! Appreciate the help bud!

Bill the best part of your photos was the bag hanging from the trash hook!! Original design intent in action! You guys always surprise me how you jump on these requests with everything the OP needs.

I took a stroll to Ford on lunch and spoke with them regarding this piece. I had to have the parts advisor print out a blown up image of the dash and point the part out to him.

Looks like Ford has three seperate models of this piece each one a little different. They all have the same P/N with just a letter variation at the end A-C. I got the one thats a full opening just like Jacob's. Only ran me $13, its on order and should be here Tuesday. Ill have the dash done by then so when it gets in just a simple snap and I'm done! Now just to figure out how to get some light in that new glove box for night time driving...

Thanks again for the help guys!

Glad to help, sounds like a fun project.

My truck was like Bill's, had the brake controller but no switches when I bought it, so I added them after. So I knew there was 2 separate, but wasn't sure on the one larger one-piece cubby...

On a side note, you can get the whole plastic cubby for $13, and yet the 4 clips (that I broke) that hold the headlights in on my 01 were over 6 bucks apiece... Leave it to Ford...
