Floor replacement

I have found out there are alot of vendors selling floor pans for 51s, but I was just wondering if anyone was better than the other or easier to use. They may all come from the same supplier i don't know, thought someone would have some idea or opinion on which work the best. thanks

I'm pretty sure they all come from the same supplier. I believe the supplier is EMS, but someone might be able to confirm or deny that for you.

I think there are at least two manufactures of floor panels, maybe three. EMS is the only place I have seen a one piece panel.

All of the other panels are made in halves. Northern Classic Trucks sells the half panels, I assume they make their own. They also sell the pieces for for the front corners of the floor. I haven't seen anyone else make them.

Unfortunately, no one that I know of makes the toe board, the piece that goes from the above patches forward. I don't know why, if the floor board is rotted out most likely the toe board is also going to be rotted also.

not to hijack the thread or anything, but i was wondering if the floor pans on an F1 were the same as the F2. My floor is not lookin so good on the drivers side, and i really don't want to have to try to make them myself.

thank you in advance

The cabs are all the same, F-1 through F-8, so yes, the floors are the same.

I have a page listed all of the interchangeable parts:

Bob, the second pic shows all those pieces together. Is that the way it comes or has someone mocked it up to show it all together. I have seen in the catalogs where you can order it seperate but I didn't know if it came together like that or it would even be useful. I am gonna post some pics to see what you think, but I only have a few small holes in the floor, but that little piece at the bottom below where the doors bolt up is rusty looking and feels week. I will get some pics of it soon to see what the thoughts are on replacing it. thanks

I pretty sure they come as individual pieces, the best thing to do is call and ask them.

my floor came from EMS. It came as one peice but I cut it in half for easyer install. If I was to do it again i would try to do it and leave it one piece. Fits good. Pic of installed floor in my gallery.

You might try Direct Sheetmetal or Bitchin Products. I think they both make floor pieces for Ford trucks. Do a google on them.
