Yeah the sensor might be bad. I know mine didnt work before going manual but thats because it wouldnt even move the motor. Im not sure what the wiring diagram looks like on there sense mine worked.

i always figured if mine didnt work i was just going to wire it directly to the lights. Find the power in and see where the power comes out on the switch. You could tap into that wire and run it to the light switch.

Does anyone have a pic of the other end of the shift linkage. I am lookiing to so how the bracket for the shifter that comes through the floor connects to the Transfer case? or Transmission? I live on an isolated island in Alaska, so I don't have a wrecking yard to run to. I do have a Ford Dealer... But then it is alot of money for new. If I knew what to look for on the other end, I can fabricate and weld what I need. I saw some shifters for superduties on Craigslist and ebay that I might order up, but is there a difference in manual shifters between years or between 6spd manual and automatics? I have a 6spd Manual and a 5.4 Gas, and need to get rid of the ESOF. I already have MM stainless hubs. Just need to get rid of the rest and go manual...
Thanks again for the pics!!

I just ran the shifter off a bronco that I heated up and bent into shape I wanted. You will need a shift boot from the dealer. You could just run a bolt threw a tube onto the Trans and weld some arms onto the tube to make your own

Thanks! I was hoping that it was mounted to the Transfer case, and not to the body or trans. How long are each of your "arms". It looks like you have just enough room for the "throw" of the handle to go full travel and still clear both the seat and the dash. I know that you can adjust that throw by changing lengths of the two levers on the two pivots, but I figured that if I have a starting point, it makes it easier than starting from scratch.
Thanks again!!
