Hey everyone, so i figured, since no one in the 80-86 forum, seems to know/care whats wrong with my truck i figured id ask my nice and amazing neighbors in SC.

I/We have a OBD1 reader... if you haven't had it read yet...
You know my nephew's '79 F100 (302) had a loping type of condition prior to changing plugs wires and the rotor button. After we re-did the wiring; we found out (from manual comparison) that the original set-up had a improper firing order.
Have you made sure all the plugs and wires are firing correctly? If you don't have one yet a spark checker is a good lit'l tool to have for this.

thanks trigger, actually, i got my exhaust fixed the other day while i had my chrom tips put on, and its running 15 times better than it was, still not quite rite, but i can actually keep a decent constant speed now...so im hoping that fixing the exhaust 100% and im gonna change the spark plugs, put new manifold gaskets on, and do a tune up of sorts and hopefully it will be good...
any way that my problem could have been a back pressure issue?
