There it is big talker!!! My turn to boast. In the middle of the page past the pictures, look at the Mobil 1 M1-301... It is unbiased becaus it even talks about the old problem of the seam issues (corrected) and then look at FRAMS Ph8A and read about it carboard inerds

You can even check out the rest to...
I can gloat now I am more proud of me being able to post it, then back it... Honestly.I dont care if anyone ever changes ther oil or filter LOL

no problem and thanks for the link. I'll give it a looksie in the morning when I'm not so tired.

I'm surprised that they rate Motorcraft as sub-par. Especially considering the # of service techs and other people who swear by 'em. Myself included

I didn't think that review was that bad on the Ford filter. Here is some more info.

That is great info...

The only thing that is confusing, or make me wonder is the fact he put in and adjusted the test by cost?

I choose Mobil 1, because of it lubrication and protection ability. I also considered Royal Purple. I guess its true cost factored in. But Royal purple was more then double the price of Mobil1 so I guess its like an insurence deductible. Where do I get the most bang for my buck.

I like to read about this, because the chemical and engeneering data is ever changing

that is confusing...but he left the scores alone in the next column so you could see his results without cost.

FL-820s was rated at a 91 on his scale overall without cost factored.

I was at Schlep Boys. The Motorcraft filter is $3.29. The Mobil 1 was $12.11. I will stick with the Moto for now.

Same here. Moto has always treated me fine. My 90 Mustang Coupe was running 11.80s @ 115 all motor. The only thing she ever saw was Castrol GTX and Moto filters. The Autometer's never showed me that anything was going wonky on any of the passes. Are there better filters? Yeah, maybe. But I've never beentreated bad by my Motos so I can live with that.

AWWW shame on you MOTO filters... You aint runnin the Fram HP filters, or the NAPA race filters???

What viscosity you runnin also.

I run Castrol HD 30 and either the FRAM HP or NAPA HP My Buddy and I built the engine, He is a engine builder by trade,(30+ yrs) its just he and I worked together on weekends, and he during the week as needed on my engine, He is out of town so I had to work. Anyways he said run only Castrol Period... Most race engine builders do reccomend it.

Any how Don ( another buddy) had a pulling truck, during a pull 7500 rpms or so, he sucked the filter in, lost lubrication, and wiped his crank... ( reguilar filter was the culprit)

Regular filters dont have the flow HP ones do

Not really though. Watch the NMRA Billy Glidden,Brian Booze and them... they turn them 9000 rpms +. They use titanium oil pump shafts, dry sump systems, and external back ups.. cuz they snap reguler pump shafts over 7500 roms. LOL

I try not to turn it any faster then I have to

Your ET's and MPH are great... right on in my book.
