I have a 78 F250 SC 4X4 Lariat, it originally came with fog light option. Was wondering if anyone has any pictures of what the fog lights look like and what the switch under the dash look's like. Posted an ad in the wanted looking for these parts. The truck still has the black push bar on the front and the wiring is still under the dash. Any help would be appreciated. Have never seen a truck with this option. Thank's. Kelley.

 

I havent found a push bumper or the actual fog lights yet. But I do have the swith and the wiring.

Thank you for replying and the picture. I see what everyone means when the say the switch look's like the on in 82-86 mustang GT's. I thought I should ask if the switch and wiring are for sale, as I still haven't got one yet. Thank's again and let me know. Kelley.

 

Execpt for the fact the **** on this one is chrome and the '79-'86 Mustang switch looks exactly like it.
And the Marchal fog lights are pretty much the same as well and can even be found on mid 80s Lincoln LSCs, some Turbo TBirds, some Cougars as well.....

 

I just bought one of the factory push bars tonight....no fog lights but the switch was still there...not sure how much if any of the wiring may still be there either.

The 79-86 mustang switch also has a light on the switch bracket where the truck one does not.

Do you know what model Marchal Fog lamp?

Clear lense or Amber?

Chrome or black Housing?

I ask because I have many of the Mustang/Cougar/Capri/Thunderbird lights and am curious which one is more correct to put on my newly aquired push bar!!!

 

Sorry, the parts catalog doesn't list this information as to chrome or black bezels, amber or clear lenses, just the part numbers of these parts.

Parts catalog doesn't list the Marchal number, just the Ford part number. I have no accessory brochures that cover anything newer than 1966.

ive searched all over and cant seem to find one...

 

850GT Marchal is the model for the lights. They were chrome but were available in black. Clear lens.

My Bronco has the later model factory Ford fog lights. I couldn't see spending the money on what the 850's were going for on ebay.

Most of the 4 pages in this thread are devoted to push bars, Marchal lamps.

 

I finally did find an nos set of fog lamp assemblies and covers for my truck. Will take a picture of them. As mentioned by ranger 429, they have chrome backings and clear lenses. The center "cat" in the glass lens is gold color, but have seen them black too!. The covers are white with black lettering.

 

I'm guessing big money unless you found them in a private sale.

 

Would you believe I found them in Norway!. They were still in the original boxes and with the instructions and covers. Paid 150 for the set, shipping included! Right now I have a 79 fog lamp switch from mustang with light. Like the light better as you know for sure if on. By the way, and off this topic, I love the progress on the crew cab and pictures. Will have to take a few of my dad's hunting truck ( 79 F250 crew cab 4x4, plain jane). Take care. Kelley.
