Schaeffers Lubricants

Just FYI, Sherrill's Automotive in Jacksonville, 14515 Highway 107 (833-9303) carries or can order most of the Schaeffers stuff.
I'm picking up some of the All-Trans for this weekends festivities.

9000 Series 5-40 is $6.59 qt or $24.75 a gal

75-140w gear oil is $7.45 qt ( yes you heard right )

All-Trans is $9 a qt

He is ordering a 5 gal bucket of the 75-140, 1 gal is spoken for

Good to know. I've been looking at that stuff for quite a while. Nice to know I can pick it up local if I decide to try it.

I have a customer who swears by these products, especially the synthetic tube grease. They run it in logging equipment and have almost no pin and bushing wear. Running the synthetic gear lube in truck rear-ends has almost stopped major repairs.

I thinking of changing RP out of my rear diff. I think it is causing to much slip in my clutches some times it will lock up other times when I need it to it doesn't.

Just an FYI. There is a Schaeffer's dealer in Sherwood also. He stocks a full line of products with better prices than those listed previously. Lots of people swear by it, but my 6.0 hates the 5-40 for whatever reason. I'll stick with Motorcraft (it's just something about that damn blue Ford blood).
