I got it to work right
On the 6.0 it should purge itself of air, it'll chug and put out some white smoke and idle really rough, but I'm almost 100% the manual says that's normal getting the air out of the common rails. And I don't think there's a fuel cutoff switch in the cab on our trucks either. I've seen them in cars, but I've never seen one in a Gen1 SD.
Flip the key into the On position and let the glow plug light go out, then let it just sit there until you hear the fuel pump shut off. Do that a few times, and try to crank it.
