My fathers first car was a Yellow '67 International Scout,3-speed manual, and a very small 4 cylinder engine.
My first truck will be a rusty '76 F-350 Super Camper Special,4-speed,with a built 390.
in the early 70s my dad bought a 66 IH 1200-Series Pickup,with a 242-inline six and a 3-speed on the column,(my dad converted to a 4 on the floor).
Here is a pic of the 66 from the early 70s...(And yes that is my dad standing in front of it) (Those are Virgina Tags,my dad bought it down there when he lived down there when he was younger) (He owned this truck until '82!)

My first car was an '87 Chevy Celebrity 4 door. Had the little 2.5L 4 cylinder in it which made it pretty good on gas. Surprisingly very stout in the snow, even though it was just a touch light on the back end. Got me through 4 years of college and a part of my first year in the workforce. The engine gave up on me one time...timing went bad in it and cost me $500 to fix, but it ran good after that til I traded it for my first truck.

That first truck was my '91 Ford Ranger STX SuperCab. That maroon/cherry red color with the silver graphics on it, 4.0L V6 with a 5 speed. No A/C...but that was ok. I had to teach myself to drive a stick shift...never had one before and dad didn't teach me either before he died...but I did. Had to put cylinder heads on it because the PO ran it hot and cracked them then filled with the "stopleak" stuff (found the cracks via a flushing of the cooling system), but otherwise, not one bit of money in that truck otherwise. It looked something like this one, but with the SuperCab on it.

I'd love to have that truck again. Fun to drive, not bad on gas, pretty stout and did everything I asked of it.

my first car was (and still is) my 89 mustang coupe. It's finally off DD duty after 4 years of school, hockey, etc. I've had a bunch of other stuff along the way (lincoln mark 8, jeep comanche, etc), and I'm just looking to get into a super duty now.

My very first car was a 1927 Chevy sedan that I bought from the local junkyard for $10.00. It only lasted ten minutes. After I got out of the junkyard, I discovered it didn't have brakes at the first stop light. I crashed into a '30s-something Dodge. Guy stuck his head out, smiled, and shouted "Gotta git yer brakes fixed, boy!" Then drove away.

First car was a 1988 Toyota 2WD pickup with low profile tires, levelling kit, and ground effects. My parents paid twice what that truck was worth. They bought it for my brother and then bought it from him for me when he went to Germany for the Army. Then they paid a third time when I wrecked it the second go around; the insurance covered the first time.
