Sagging Front End-How To Fix?

What's the most efficient fix for a sagging front end on a '96 150 2WD 6cyl.? New springs, I'd guess...how involved is that job and more importantly, where can I purchase the correct springs? I don't want to over-do it-just the normal height ride. Thanks in advance!

no special tools are required for this you can eather get stock replacment or go with 2wd f350 springs to level it out. can be purchased at any auto parts store.

I know Custom Diesel has a line of leveling kits... should give you that factory ride height you were looking for

Actually, the stock ride height has a rake. The springs are not sagging as much as you think. New springs won't change much. Leveling coil springs and an alignment are what you want.

just a word, the rake is intended to be there, at least to have the rear just a bit higher then the front so that way when you hook a trailer up that pushes down on the back end the truck is going to sit more at a level stance, if you do any type of towing I would suggest (but you don't have to) keeping the back just a bit higher, reason is if you have your truck level and you hook to a load that pushes down on the rear your front end is going to raise up a slight bit and you will in turn have LESS weight on your steering wheels in turn causing your steering to diminish some (think similar to a sea-saw effect with the pivot point at the rear wheels).

now if this is mostly a show queen and you never plan on towing it then please don't let us stop you and if you want to level the truck check with one of the arts guys around here and see what leveling options are out there!!

either way just enjoy your truck and have fun!!
