HOBBS, N.M. (KRQE-KBIM) - Former Congressman Steve Pearce on Tuesday officially kicked off his campaign to get his old job back.

Pearce on Tuesday morning announced his run in the 2010 election in his native Hobbs, and is scheduled to make another campaign stop in Las Cruces.

After three terms in the U.S. House of Representatives, Pearce, a Republican, had given up his seat last year in an unsuccessful run for Senate to replace retiring Sen. Pete Domenici.

Rep. Harry Teague, a Democrat, is currently holding the seat.

CLOVIS, N.M. (KRQE) - A former Albuquerque fire lieutenant who solicited sex from an undercover officer posing as a 13-year-old girl is going to prison.

Glenn Perrin will serve two years plus another two years probation for child solicitation.

Officers arrested him in Clovis in March 2008 after he e-mailed the decoy asking for sex.

I tend to avoid politics. Sounds like FF from Alb deserves death sentence though. Can't stand idiots like that. But, who am I to judge? That's not my place...
