tires rubbing on 01 F250

I have a 2001 Powerstroke F250. original tire size was 235x85x16 -
I picked up a set of king range rims and tires very CHEAP. 275x70x18 (stock tire size from 2006 king ranch F250). The tires rub and I wasnt sure if it was the rim or just the tire size in general. I have read on here that people put 305 and 315's on without rubbing with a stock truck/rim.
is it that the rim is really off-set? I think the 2006 king ranch has coil springs which might explain it. I love the king ranch rims and would love to keep them but cant deal with my tires rubbing when making tight turns-
anyone have any insight? if I go back to my stock 16" rim, should I be able to run 285x75x16 without rubbing?

Im not exactly sure but I believe 05/06 factory wheels had a differnet offset. Im sure someone else will chime in with more info.

its a back spacing issue not a tire size issue. I have 285/75 toyo's and they are fine...

thanks for the info guys, I figured it was more on the rims and not the tires.
