88' tank selector valve

I've got good pressure from both tanks, but nothing coming out of the selector valve.

Is anyone having any luck finding a replacement for the tank selector valve? Aftermarket from Advance/Autozone appear to be electrical and wrong. Local dealer says +$150. And FordPartsNetwork is gone.

Try PM'ing Numberdummy (Bill), and be specific about the application....

If it's available through the dealer network he can likely find it for you at the best price.

Ed Olsen is another that posts here on FTE. You might ask him too.

EDIT: I tried a quick search....

i had the same problem, i took it off the truck, and unscrewed the bottom, where it looks like a filter, its actually a reserve (i learned that from here) their are 2 valves in the bottom with o rings on them, one of my valves were completely stuck, and o rings were bad. So i pulled and pulled on the one valve with a straight pick it would hardly move, so i used an air compresspor and a air blower attachment, then i found which port went to the stuck one, and blocked off the output side, the air blower got the valve moving enough to get some penetrating oil in it. it worked great after that. Then i replaced the o rings, kinda tricky, the valves will fall down into the body, so i used the air blower and got the main one back out, just as if i was blowing in the port to free it up. Then on the other one it wall fall down into the body completely, so hold the tank selector like it would be bolted to the truck, get the right side of the valve pointing down, and use the air blower again, catch the valves with the straight pic and put the new o rings on. i thought i was done when the valves fell down in their but i decided to use the air and it will blow them back out, just have them lined up right. It woll probably take you several times to get the valves right and the o rings back on, but it will work.
you will need a helper to do this or i did at least
hope it helps

Sounds like your local dealer is charging you list price.

If this is the fuel tank selector valve for a gas engine, the valve should sell for around $73.00 from the dealer.

Yup

Yup, thats it. I tried browsing under fuel supply & fuel induction.. also searched by part number, no luck. I would love to find one online in the $70's... All my local dealers want to keep themselves in business just on my sale.

Anyone have any luck recently with an online supplier?

........backed out to the home page & searched by part number. I found what I was looking for..
