Today I received a note from Ford, explaining the importance of following the maintenance guidelines- particularly the coolant, fuel filter and oil changes, and coolant Nitrite strength check. Anyone else get the letter?

Would have been convenient had they included a couple dozen of these Nitrite test strips, instead of sending me to the local dealer, which has a rep of ripping people off, to get them.

 

Got one of those bout 2 weeks ago...I chalked it up to one of those state the painfully obvious notices...

 

got mine last week. just another thing to add to the trash can.

 

Or, another way of denying warranties for people with bad coolant
