Climate Control / A/C

First of all would like to introduce myself..... I appologize I will get it out right away I personally am a Chevy fan Sorry I will keep my opinions to myself....The reason for joining is I work at a company that has a fleet of 25 Fords + sterlings and internationals 4 - F150's, 12 - F350's, 6 - F450's, 2 - F550's, 1 - E350 all ranging from 2000 - 2008 and super duties are diesel. Im not the Mechanic but I do help him out a lot on equipment as I do have mechanical skills/background. I always have questions about things on them, and I am on chevy forums for my personal vehicles, so I thought I could bring my knowledge to the Ford forum and also hope to get some help. I drive an 04 F350 for my company vehicle and my first question is....The a/c does not work all of a sudden this summer always did before, it seems like the temp setting is on hot becasue there is always warmer than normal air flowing through the vents. I have not tried recharging it yet because of the hot air issue. Is it possible it has gotten stuck in the hot position, and what can I do to fix it?

Could be the blend door acutator. I would also check the AC compressor clutch gap, as it is easy to do. Should be 0.014-0.026" Could also be a pressure switch gone bad or a significant leak developed. After you check the gap and make sure the blend door is working correctly, get a set of AC gages on it to see what is up. Don't just start recharging the system blindy.

And Welcome!
