Create a 12 volt circuit in a 6 volt system?

Honestly wmjoe1953, I just want the fuel to the carb right now and I'm not sure if the cam that works the pump is worn too much or why the electric pump was put on there. At some point I'd like to fix and use the mechanical pump. I might still leave an electric in there for an auxiliary.
Google can't answer all of the questions but when all of the 6 volt pumps are found to be out of production from the first ten results... Of course where there is a market people will sell - I'm not trying to scare anyone out of 6 volt or otherwise.

I just went out and looked. I still have mine. I'll test it tomorrow, as it's been sitting for since I stripped the truck last winter. If it still works, I'll PM you, and we can work something out. I don't need it anymore, since my truck will not work on 6 volts, and I have a mechanical fuel pump for the diesel injection pump.

Dennis Carpenter has 6 volt electric pumps I seen them in my ford fullsize car restoration catalog.
I have seen alot of people go electric cause of a issue of the y blocks stalling out after getting off the hgihway or being driven hard. I think that was a issue with the dashpot not being set right and the 56 I have i think was cause there was vacuum lines in the new carb that was never plugged up.
At Dennis carpenters site they ahve a new 6 volt electric fuel pump listed for 52 - 55 for $65 part # EEP-9400-A
Concours Parts has it also part # B5A-9350-E6V
Those part numbers are taken from my car catalogs but a pump is a pump shouldnt be different between a car and a truck since these didnt come with electric

Awesome. I've never dealt with DC, but I have personally been in the Councours store in Carson City, Nevada. They have a small, but neat showroom, and the rest of the huge complex is where they stock, and even produce some of the restoration parts they sell. They are a very easy bunch of folks to deal with. Two sources for a common old Ford problem.

I've been looking everywhere, and I'm not 100% that it changed overnight, but I really think I checked your prices not long after you posted and they were right.
From what I can tell, those are the only 6 volt fuel pumps left except for a few Carter type that put out over five psi. (According to my shop manual, the Holley 1904 is supposed to have 4 - 5 psi, and I don't want to boost it up because the bowl might leak and so on.) The D/C type is the same found in online stores and eBay. ok ... Maybe not so important
