Low range 2wd switch

Got to test my Low range 2WD switch out this weekend. Works just fine, I cut the red wire to the vacuum switch, and ran it through the rocker switch. I also have a reminder that it is on. The A/C goes to defrost.

Good deal! Glad to hear it worked out for ya. This is a low priority task on my to-do list because it could occasionally be useful for me and I'm a sucker for another switch on the dash

That's weird. If you disabled the vacuum solenoid totally, you wouldn't have a vacuum leak. ?

I agree. Sounds like you have a vacuum leak and your hubs aren't locking anyway, so be default you already have 2lo.

Have you tried using your ESOF to lock the hubs recently?

I think you cut the wire to the vacuum pump instead of the hub solenoid if the A/C switches to defrost.

Sounds more like you cut the vacuum line to the solenoid instead of the wire....

He said he cut a red wire, there is no red wire on the vacuum pump.
There is one to the solenoid.
Maybe broke or knocked loose a vacuum line?
Blew a fuse ?

If you're happy,we're happy,
