C6 with a 205 to 203

Does anyone know if a 77 F-150 4x4 with a C6 mated to a NP205 will bolt up to a NP203? Thanks

Yea, I've always heard that the 205 is stouter. I actually have a 203 and am looking at buying a used/rebuilt C6 that was mated to a 205 and am trying to figure out if the transmission will fit. Two things that I like about the 203 is that it has a 2 low and it has a lower low range ratio, so I think I'll keep my 203 for now.

I don't actually have it yet, I'm debating buying it.

does the ford 203 have a different low than every other 203? dodge and chev have about 2.00:1 which differs only slightly from the 205s 1.96:1. so the '203 has a better low range' is not that relavent. if you want to be able to have 2low while the hubs are locked in on a 205 you just need to modify the linkage so that each shift rail has its own lever, i have never been fussy about 2 low if i want low i dont mind if the front driveshaft spins. but if you curently have a c6 203 you should buck up and do the doubler thing from ORD to it.

I thought the 203 had a 2.72 to 1, I'll have to double check. I hear you on the ORD doubler, all it takes is money, haha. Thanks

I'm with you...If I had a 203 core right now, I'd do a Doubler!
