Hi, I have a 70 f100 c6 tranny. It does not have reverse. It just thunks a little like it wants to but when i hit the gas it revs like it is in nutural. What are some probable things that are wrong?

Low reverse clutches burned. Seal leaking. In any event you might plan on an overhaul.

Had same problem with C6 tranny in my 77 150,get a Haynes transmission manual#10355 you can do the job yourself'it takes alittle time and patience. The reverse cluthes were fryed in my tranny as the previous reply stated. good luck

yea automatics are easy to rebuild even if you've never done it b4, like he said all it takes is some patience and maybe a few patients
