That's really weird, because during August, Angel Stadium will be operating on Pacific Daylight Time. I don't want to be late (or early, either).

And...don't forget your wallet!
What part of CA operates on PST = Pacific Standard Time during the summer?

None!

It's PDT = Pacific Daylight Time, kiddo.

It may be free, but...

Do you know what the time is...when they pass the hat?

Do you know how many times they pass it?

Once before, once during, once after...the event, or...?

Hope this event isn't run by one a the Churches of the Open Palm.

They don't pass the hat at all...
When was the last time you tried passing the hat at an event with what 45,000+ people.PER Night?
That would be near impossible and insane....
This isn't your little rinky dinky small event, this thing is huge!
people come froma all over to go to this...
Just music and God's word, what's so hard to get about that?
I got the time-zone wrong but it don't matter...
All of CA runs on the same time-zone...so don't get confused by my stupid previous statement(s).

When the Pope showed up at the LA Colisseum in 1958, 103,000 people attended.

Considering what religion the Pope represents...amazingly, they didn't pass the hat there either.

Most Catholic Churches back then had two collections, one before, one after the sermon. They prolly figured ppl would feel guilty after the sermon and give more the second time.

The church I go to never passes the hat, because people give in secret once a month. So there's no need to one up the cheapskate sitting next to you that only gave 5 bucks.

I will NEVER read a post(s) the same from you again...
They are not taking all these weeks in advance preparation to get money, they are doing it to bring people to the lord.
And all I gotta say is ,my pastor (Even though I dis-agree) said this" if they beilve in One God,and know that Jesus died on the cross for their sins, that makes them "Christian".
But,I will continue to respect you Bill,You have been fairly NICE,to me.
God Bless ya.

I would never join a church that would allow someone like me to be a member.

Why, because I changed religions or because I didn't?

They are not taking all these weeks in advance preparation to get money, they are doing it to bring people to the Lord.
There is no free ride...someone has to pay to stage this event, which considering that they are renting Anaheim Stadium, prolly cost well in excess of 100 grand.

Where is the money coming from? The city of Anaheim isn't giving away the stadium, I doubt that Arte Moreno is paying for it, either.

So...my guess is that the Church's members are paying for it. I assume that includes you.

A little bit of research on your part will turn up the fact that organized Religion is big business in this country.

And all I gotta say is, my pastor (Even though I dis-agree) said this: "If they believe in One God, and know that Jesus died on the cross for their sins, that makes them "Christian."
What did I type that leads you to assume I'm not a Christian?

The Catholic Church is the only religious organization that does not recognize the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints as such.

The reason the Church recognizes most of the other Christian religions is...because most of them broke away from the Church at some point.

But, I will continue to respect you Bill. You have been fairly NICE,to me.
God Bless ya.
Do you know what the LDS Church is? Prolly not.

Here's a coupla hints. It's the largest growing Christian Church in the world and was founded in Palmyra NY in 1830.

Don't chime in if y'all know...let Anthony look it up.

It's fine to post a religious event and invite folks to attend, but let's be sure this doesn't turn into a discussion regarding religious doctrine. You know the rules - that belongs in Club FTE.
