Which Tranny is code E?
I have money down on a 1990 Class C motorhome with Ford (Yeah!) 460 V8. It has an automatic (Boo! But have to satisfy the wife) overdrive tranny. The selector goes P,R, N, OD, 2, 1 and then there is a pushbutton on the dash where you can cut out the OD. The door sticker says Trans is "E." VIN is 1FDKE30G4LHA91252. Is this the E4OD or the AOD?

Thanks, In talking to a company that does service and repair on motorhomes I learned it likely is the E4OD and that there were three versions of it. According to the pan configuration, it likely is the heavy duty truck version. Anyway, when I test drove this beast, I sure was glad to have the OD. Running with the cut out made it wind quite a bit. Has 4.11 rear end to move its 9000 lbs.
