This afternoon when I got to work I stopped to back into my parking space and truck died. Its never done this before, I have a little over 50K miles on it. Im thinking TPS taking a crap? anybody wanna chime in?

I have limited knowledge of the torqshift but I do alot of trans work, seen the low/reverse sprag do this on other trans. Maye the ford trans engineer (cant remember his user name) will shed some light soon.

Is the trans fluid low? That can make the torque converter clutch apply when it shouldn't, which will stall the engine.

No IAC on the drive by wire trucks ('05 + gassers). That's part of what the drive by wire buys you (well, Ford).

The filter is known to come loose in the pan and can create a situation that's like it low on fluid like Mark said.

Check the fluid level, if ok then remove the pan and check the filter. Superior makes a clip the keeps the filter from falling out of the pump.

I have seen this happen to the E40D too.
