wiring fault on trailer message

This morning, when I started my 08 f250, I got a "wiring fault" message on the information center. No trailer is connected to the truck. I hit info and then reset to clear the message. Now, every time I start the truck, I am getting this same wiring fault on trailer message in the console.

Any ideas? Thanks!

I have to take it in for an oil change next week; I'll call and add this to the list before going to the dealer.

Got this same issue last year. It's a sensor that is causing this issue. The "sensor" is placed under the hood on the driver's side under the break-fluid bottle. They'll change it and everything will be back to normal.

Had same problem. Check the plug on the rear bumper for water infiltration. When ford tech removed plugin, and tilted it, water came pouring out. They replaced plug and taped backside to keep out water. Hope this helps.
