05 Explorer Gas leak

Thanks! For sharing the very interesting experiment's info and very good Pics. We need all the help we can get in this "Plastic World". I have used ethylene and methylene based cements on various plastics projects and repairs over the years. Some worked and some did not. The cements have worked good on my 1993 Explorer's interior plastics (as my cracked arm rest and etc.).

When possible, I like to make samlpes and break them to see how well the cement will weld or bond the plastic.

Good Luck!
Joe

Update on gas tank repair

Just thought I would jump in and update the repair I did on the tank. It's still holding up well. Inspected the repair job yesterday and it still looks as good as it did when I first made the fix. JB Weld seems to be the S***
