Angry np203 grinding changing gears

I posted earlier about having no gears and stuck in woods! I got in gear with help of jk080 and festus hagen. Thanks guys! But now I have an issue with the transfer case. After unhooking linkage to get it into gear to get out of the woods, I cannot seem to get the tc linkage adjusted so that it shifts without grinding & scraping. It will go in gear and run in all positions, but I cannot stop the grinding & scraping. If I want 2wh, 4wh, neutral, 4wl, I am better off shutting down engine and shifting and starting truck back up. It shifts easy with motor shut off! Before it hung up in neutral, it always shifted easy and smooth. Anyone know if this indicates an internal problem or simply a linkage adjustment? I have spent several hours on & off adjusting linkage to no avail. If it is adjustment, is there anywhere on the web that will show a pic of the np203 and linkage adjustment procedures? If internal, what part is the likely culprit? One of my basic problems is I don't understand where the shifters should be so that the linkages put the shifters in proper position. The dern shifters have adjustments in 4 places. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Rod
