Anyone know pre-smog jet sizes?

Anyone know the pre-emissions 300 six, jet sizes for the Carter one barrel, like a 74 model or earlier.

Jets and metering rods for the carter YFA are hard to find at best.
Try a junkyard. I called carter and they sent me to some yahoo in wisconsn if I remeber correctly.

If you need a bit more or a bit less gas adjusting the rod a bit may help. May give you a few "jets" worth of adjustment.

I read on the ford six site that edelbrock jets will fit

Edelbrock jets are marked with a three-digit part number that indicates the diameter of the metering orifice. Jet sizes starting with a 3 are smaller than 0.100 inch; jets beginning with a 4 are larger than 0.100 inch, so this 389 jet has an 0.089-inch orifice.

While we find your parts, please enter your ZIP Code at CSK Auto

Still looking for a starting point, for the jet size. I need to go leaner with my feedback carb to pass emissions. The feedback carb is not connected to a computer anymore thus it is on the rich side.

Jim

You basically won't be able to get a feedback carb to operate properly without the full feedback system. Put a late 70s carb on, and it'll be fine.
