Mileage

Has anyone came out with anything to improve the mileage on the 6.4 yet? I've talked to a few guys, that talk about some of these aftermarket products helping a lot, but I have not heard a lot about stuff for the 6.4 yet.

Thanks!

The only way that I know of is to do a dpf delete with some sort of tuner. I went from 11.5 to 17.5 hand calculated, and I can get even better if I'm on the highway. That seems to be where you would see the most significant gains

My only worry about doing that is warranty issues. I was told by the dealer that would void the warranty.

What tuner are you running?

Right now on a real good day I get 11 mpg on the hwy. Towing drops me down to about 6 mpg. That 17 mpg sounds great to me.

I own a F-450 and I get about 11MPG's on the highway and about 9 MPG's pulling my camper. I know how you feel and I am not real happy with either, but it pulles my camper with out no problem. I know if I took out DPF I would lose my warr. too I can't afford to lost my warr. and ext ESP warr. to. So I live with it.

That's my issue. I have a 7 year 70,000 mile warranty on it. If I didn't I would change things out right now. Good thing I don't drive it a lot. I think in a year an a half I put 8,000 miles on it.
