Yes they are. Drill the front hanger hole out to 3/4" and drill the bushing out to 3/4". To me thats "pretty much bolt on"

can't remember my length measurements and don't feel like going outside or to the garage. wtf do you have to add as to importance kirby???? pretty sure the s/d springs were 53'' and 3/4's eye to eye but didn't write it down. how much of a difference are we talking???? never read much on people having too much difficulty swapping them, only heard about better price, flex, lift, and swapability, better shackle angle too.

Dan hit on all the points. Yes they are longer but that only makes everything associated with having springs too long that "could" be a problem actually better.

It lays the shackle back to a more ideal angle. Some have used longer shackles on higher lift/flex situations to keep the spring eye from hitting on the frame but I dont think thats necessary for your average mudder.

Raymond, that sounds like a really big block to be stuffing in there for lift. I would think the taller the block, the more likely it would be come out of there unexpectedly. I have always heard that tall lift blocks are a bad idea, anyways. Just do a search on how to measure for shocks. The front is going to be tricky I think because you have coil springs on the front, unless you modified the stock suspension for some other setup. I don't know that you can get that much lift from an aftermarket coil spring, unless you make some kind of offset upper or lower bucket to hold the spring.
