10.25 ls service

hello everyone and happy july4 to the folks to the south. i pulled out the plug on my 10.25 yesterday and found it smelt like old burnt grease, i was j/w if this is just the clutch left overs in there or what? also i've heard i need an additive for the ls? and lastly what kinda gear oil should i use? thanx

Some of the differential greases have the friction modifyer in them, some do not.

I am running synthetic in mine which has the modifyer already in it.

But 8 ounces for the friction modifier needs to be subtracted from the total capacity
