anyone have pictures of trucks with 20" to 24" rims? I am debating on what size rims to get and since I live in Texas I gotta do it big lol, but I dont want anything too ridiculous.
You mean 20" to 24" isn't rediculous. Yeah man thats way to big, don't go over 18" on an older truck, actually don't go over 18" on any truck, it looks stupid they should put more tire and less rim on these new trucks, they look awful. I'm glad to have an older truck again so I can have 15" rims as opposed to 17".

Aren't the chrome spoke rims on the Dodge pickups 20 inch? They look pretty good and don't look "donk". If you do not know what "donk" is, look it up on google. What will they think up next?
Please don't put big ugly wheels on your truck. Anything over 16 inch looks like crap on an 80-86. A 17 inch wheel is about the max for a 87-96 truck. The trucks wheel wells are not as big as the new trucks. It just looks completely out of place. I'm from TX and I have 15 inch wheels.
Donk should be called Dork!
I would never do it, but I can appreciate how some see the coolness of old school lowriders. Some of them are actually pretty sweet. This new thing is just stupid if you ask me. Besides that the tires cost way too much for them.
In my opinion the only reason to put that big of rims on a truck is if you plan on using it in the monster truck pull or something. Leave some rooom for good tread on your tires.
I love the late 70's era fords and chevy trucks slammed but bigger then a 20" is pushing it. I once watched a guy with these little blocks on his frame lay sparks for a good 100 yards and they were crazy like a roostertail of light. The only problem with mini trucking is that is if you don't do it right it looks like crap.
Older cars and trucks with big rims look even worse. I'm talking about 50s 60s and 70s. Anything older than about 2000 doesn't need bigger wheels. Most of the newer cars and trucks don't need 20s either.
I was planning on either droppin it 2" in the front and 4" in the back or putting air ride suspension on it. And I do agree that big rims look dumb if the car/truck is lifted but not if its lowered
I know its not a ford but i couldnt find one bagged on 24s
In my opinion, I don't care if it is lifted lowered or stock height. The extremely large wheels just look rediculous.
I have seen lowered trucks with 17s or 18s that look sweet. Anything larger doesn't go with the body styling at all.
I like lowered sport trucks, but I don't see the point to slammed trucks or cars. I don't like not being able to see at least the top edge of the tire. It just doesn't look right.
I know its a bowtie but this is the stance I like. It makes the truck look like it is quick and handles well etc. Anything much lower or with bigger wheels looks like crap.
I only really like a what is commonly called the sport drop or maybe the lower 5/4.
