I've got pics that show the engine, many recent ones without the front panels but none that show the engine up close. I'll get some for you soon, truck's still at the shop getting work done.

3V heads are all the rage, ask Jon Kaase who uses modified versions of these CHI heads (aussie company) on his stroked clevo to win the Engine Masters.

The 2V clevos in my trucks have more than enough torque to make then great engines for this purpose. My old '76 tows a large extended double horse float and has no problems with it fully loaded. I knwo plenty of guys with 2V clevos who get a lot of power out of them without resorting to 3/4V setups.

Add a bit more stroke and clevos become torque monsters.

If you need more torque than what a clevo gives you, then you should be using the 460 anyway. That's the way Ford Australia saw it, though the fact we assembling 73 through mid eighties trucks locally and were still producing cleveland engines up to '84 means it was an easy decision for them to make.

You and me both, I've not driven it in months and fingers crossed it's only weeks away now. Wheels and tyres will be the last thing and I'm waiting on a tidy bonus from work to help fund those, as they're custom billets imported from CA, US.

everyone is screaming at me to go get this car and i will as soon as i have the cash in hand... trying to contact the guy and offer him 500 for the motor now and the other 2000 for the car when i get it. i get paid friday and i'll have about 1500 in the bank but that's gotta last me another 2 weeks (its nice not having any real bills [except for gas])
EDIT- i've decided to sell the olds, mainly to pay for this car, my share would be about 400 bones if we sell for 2500 (grandpa funded the 600 for car, parts, and labor. we're setting aside 1000 for the next car project, and splitting whats left)
