any mods on 87-91 460 efi

Start with the exhaust. Your engine will respond to exhaust mods better than any thing else.
I have the Banks Power Pack on my 1995 motorhome. Banks chassis dyno shows a gain of over 60 HP and almost 100 lbs. of torque at the rear wheels. Made the ol beast a real pleasure to drive.
One little trick, is to adjust the EGR feed back potentiometer. Remove the pot and make a cupped shim to fit over the stem. The stem is .156" in diameter. A 5/32 drill bit will give you the right size for your shim. Adjust the shim until you have .85 volts on the output lead, with the engine running and the vacuum line disconnected. This will add a little more timing when the EGR valve opens. Ford seemed to be very conservative with the timing in this area. I've done this mod for years on SBF & BBF with good results.
