buyin trackhoe-----

need some opinions/experiences guys. i am going to try out a nissan mini excavator tomorrow. $75 to use it for the day to try it out if i don't like it. however, if i like it and want it, i can take it home for $3,000. it is really small, but powerful. its about 4 foot wide probably, and weighs around 3,000 pounds.

for laughs, i found a rough rental kobelco unit that they want $17,000 for at a rental joint.

perks-this thing has basically new bridgestone tracks, rollers, and a newly rebuilt hydro pump. he says he has nothing to hide, so go use it a day. what do you all think? anyone heard of a nissan one?

If it works to your satisfaction and you have the scratch laying around, I say go for it! I borrow a compact utility tractor with a backhoe attachment from work all the time for small dig jobs on my property. It is very handy to have around.
And cool.

ok guys, heres the skinny on it. i went to make a deposit on this thing pending results on what it will take to get my work truck going again price wise. i was straight up with the guy, and told him i could pay $3,000 but didnt want to over extend myself. he said that was fine, and not to unload it. just keep it, and i could pay him when i got ready. i paid him $1500 tonight, and he said $1000 would be plenty, but i paid half tonight, and i am goint ot trade him a rifle in on it too. so, now i have to see what the rifle is worth lol. anyway, heres the new parts list which he has reciepts to prove it:
-turn table bearing and everything needed there
-rebuilt hydro pump
-new bridgestone tracks
-new rollers
-new sprockets

I love diggers. What year is it? How many Hour? (If it has a meter)Is it diesel or a Gasser. That rig looks to be in excellent condition.

If you don't think that you got a good deal...........Goggle: Nissan Excavators. You got a great deal.

You are one helluva photographer, it sure doesn't look like it took a nap from your photo.

Oh well, so it's not a virgin, now you can lay it over a time or two.

Wow, GREAT find. I'd grab that myself in a heart beat of it was around here. Tracks, sprockets, rollers, and pump are what wear out first.
Take good care of that thing. Change the hydro oil and filters NOW, as well as motor oil.

I'm jealous...

When I worked at CAT I did a lot used equipment trade in repairs so they could send them to auction. On excavators what I saw most commonly was the bucket would need reshimmed, hydro pumps rebuilt, rollers replaced, hoses replaced, and cylinders rebuilt since at least half of that was already done Id say thats an awesome deal. That and what I said on there that he didnt do it may not need and it no too expexpensive or hard to do either.
