Just wondering how easy it would be to add a/c to a used 06 XL f-150? Thanks Bill

Ford Fx4 is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
Most likely a major PITA at minimum.

Wow! I thought they all came with a/c!
I know my stripped down XL came with it.

I'd start pounding the pavement at junk yards even maybe go as far as finding a "front-clip". Then move the relevant components and instrumentation over to your rig.

Just keep in mind a front clip of a car doesn't exactly mean the same thing to a p/u truck.

So you may have to explain that to the boneyard.

On Edit: Don't forget to have the donor system vacuumed down...

Um... I figure you need the special bracket, AC compressor, and all applicable wiring and tubing. I dont think it would be that big of a deal. Oh, you will probably also need a new serpentine belt, as it will be longer with the AC in line.

tylus has a good reputation on FTE. tylus has a good reputation on FTE.
also need to get the Inst. Cluster programmed.

the cluster runs all the electronics in the truck.

might be easier to just find a Custom A/C unit. My old 1971 Chevy had a aftermarket A/C unit. looked decent, and blew ice cold.

otherwise, you are probably going to need an entire donor truck. Major PITA IMO
