I couldn't see how it wouldn't overheat. They are hot to the touch just a few minutes after turned on. Heat would have to be a issue thats why just about all of them have cooling fins.
I think we must use the horns in a vastly different manner. I might hit the horns 1-2x a month tops...and it pumps the tank back up in 30 seconds. There's simply no need to "lay" on the horns, except for one's own ego. I have a small tank, decent sized compressor- so it takes no time at all to top off/refill. I also air my dirt bike tires with it, but again- it's a modest amount quickly replenished.

Good point! If you just use them for air horns then they don't run very long at all. I was just thinking about air tools and items they will require the pump to work much harder.
Here are some pics of the items I have to remove from the old truck I bought a few months back. Any body know if the is a way I could mount the compressor to my engine? Its a 6.0
That makes you more immature then the people blowing the horn. Like someone else said it's in good humor or bad humor. Either way someone throws something at my truck over a horn, they better be ready for the repercussions. Most of the people in my area know the truck and half the time give me the ol' semi air tug to get a toot toot out of me. Either way you have to know the limits of the horn and blasting people. After a week of getting the unexpected people the humor wares off (SOME). Once a buddy or two ride with you though the novetly seems to flare up again.
You sound pretty immature yourself. I would definitely throw something at you if you disrespected me like that. Scaring people you don't know is very immature.

Well I guess it's a good thing you live just about as far away as possible when it comes to still being in the US... But like I said most of the locals know me. That has a lot to do with why throwing something at my truck wouldn't even cross there mind.
P.s. I put one of those round horn switches on the floor over to the side , I just step on it to blow the horn.

Let it go guys... damn, I regret posting that video now!
I would let it go, but I just can't help myself. I think both sides have a good point. There are just some people you would be stupid to go up behind and blow a horn like that at. If you can get them to laugh then it was worth it, if you piss them off then it was wrong. The horn blower has to assume the responsibility on making the right choice. Pranks are only cool when the prankee doesn't get violated.
