I prefer lifted long.

Form over Function?

SWB is more fun offroad. Less likely to high-center, you can stradle the weird stuff easier

LWB is more comfortable, looks alot better IMO, and the extra lenght can allow you to avoid the holes that will swallow a SWB

toss up. What you going to use her for?

In my experiances my long (145 inch) wheel base has been better that all the jeeps, blazers, broncos ,and other short wheelbase vehices I whel with. But it also depends where u wheel. If its in the trees it gets old havin to backup to make a turn. I have a vid I'll post later that will show the advantage a long wheelbase has.

http://www.supermotors.net/registry/media/695003 that should be the right vid. Sould be a blazer than a bronco, than my pickup.

i like my LWB cause it drives a little nicer, and with the big tires it's still pretty sloppy. Although sometimes I wish I was SWB cause some trails around here are too small. And that's probably the best wheeling video i've seen.

I like my lwb because on the road it handles a little better then a jeep would.

And hav24wheel, that is an awesome video. When I get the money for a new truck, I want to do something like you did with your truck. Mine would need some major upgrades, like a D60 =). But the whole flatbed thing, that looks so awesome. Sick truck you got there!

I like the look of LWB trucks. They look faster and more like a truck rather than a bronco or something.

I guess it all comes down to your terrain. A few trails around here are mostly for samurai's, but I don't have a huge issue with brushing a few tree's.

For the mud it does great long.
For the small trails, not so much.

Sounds like you want a mall-crawler. Most of the answers you'll get are all for your preformance off-road and not what looks cooler.
But.. IMO long.

So uh, why do you need to replace the back half of your frame..??

Yes I know what you are talking about about the salt. Not only do I get it in the winter but since I live by the ocean we get a bit all summer too. NO frames have gone yet but every bodt on the vehicles we got besides the new ford. Good luck witht the swap.
