Hello All.
I just received an email from my dealer containing my new 2010 Lariats serial numbers and dates.
Build date is week of 7/20 and ETA to Washington is 8/10!!
That is alot faster than I expected. Awesome!
I will post pics when it arrives.
I plan on getting tinting and LineX at arrival. More to come later.

Yea, I realized it would probably be one of the first. Kinda makes me nervous. I was thinking it would show up in September sometime. I guess we will see! Hopefully, they have incorporated all of the small issue fixes into Job 1 2010.
I work at DTP, and we started building 2010's last Thursday. We pulled 12 trucks off the line so far, and they will start rolling off the line again next Monday. Actually there are a lot of changes in the engine compartment which is what I work on. The biggest is that all the trucks get electric fans which really opens up the engine compartment. Not really any changes to the interior, and some minor changes on the chassis. I hope you enjoy your new truck.
OK, now here is my question. I am going to get my new truck soon. Should I get an 09 or wait for the 2010 and have it built to my specks. My truck now is 10 years old and I love her, but it is time to get a new ride. What (other than what has been stated above) are the changes from the 09 to the 10?
What would you guys do?

anike,
Any other changes large or small that you are aware of other than what you have already mentioned? Has Ford fixed the headliner to make it look like it is a "finished" headliner? Is the rumor about new brakes true? Jinks, pinch, poke.
Other changes that come to mind are the grille for the chrome package is different, one of the dampers was relocated to the rear body mount, new colors (the black looks really nice, I think the silver is too light almost looks white), the headliner didnt look any different from what i noticed. The only change in the brakes that i am aware of is the trucks get a larger master cylinder which is supposed to help the truck stop better. Obviously there is the harley, mark lt for mexico and platinum gets ambient lighting and rear heated seats.
Job 2 will be the addition of the 6.2 to the raptor and possibly the harley. Also for 2011 we are getting ready for an entirely new engine lineup. I have asked for engine specs and all I was told was a v6, evoboost, 5.0, and 6.2 available for every truck that get the 5.4 currently. The only horsepower figures i got was over 400 hp and trq on the 6.2, but couldnt get exact numbers. Hope this helps, and I will post any other changes that might come to mind. Happy 4th!

So it does not sound like I made a mistake picking up my 2009 Black Platinum last week. At least I hope not. I was a Chevy guy forever but can't do "government motors" so I came to Ford and I am loving my truck!!!
Now that's a great option. I wonder how difficult it would be to add this feature from the 10 to the 09? I know we can go aftermarket but i would love to have this on my 09... What do you think?
