"Certified in car seat installation"? I've never heard of such. Is that certification done through some organization? Hospital? Pediatrician? DOT?
I dont know about actual certification, but when we brought our daughter home the hospital had someone verify we had installed the car seat correctly before we could leave. I understand helping to make sure you have it installed right, but the lady was very unpleasant about it and tried to tell me I didn't have it tight enough. So I simply ask her to show me how to get it tighter. She procedded to unhook it and reinstall it only to find she could even get as tight as I had it! So after she installed it I showed her how to get it a little tighter (helps that I wiegh 220 and she may have been 110) by putting a knee in the middle of the base as I tightened it. If she had a better since of humor she would have been fine, but her attitude was getting me a little testy!
CONGRATS on hte little one man it is an awesome feeling and ENJOY her now mine is already a year and a half old and growing fast .
In my dads 02 GMC SC we always stuck her in the middle when they would take her and it was a bit tight. We always put her in the middle of my CC since it is the safest place in the truck but it sucks that they put no child straps in the SDs .
Rob,congrads on the little gril, and take of mommy!Sleepless nights and dirty dippers, all good times to come.
You guys have the seat install covered.

Congrats one the new baby! Middle back seat with a rear facing car seat is required here in Ca. I do believe. If not required it is what AAA suggests. Good luck! And if you want to i herd Big 5 is having a gun sale.... You know for 15 years down the road. LOL
