97 Fuel line set

Ok I find most of my problem with the search. This time I'm having a problem. 1997 ranger fuel line (3 in the set) the nylon line is rotten and leaking fuel. Can not find a new line set. The part is no longer made. Called ford they gave me the out of date parts line. He found one in Portarico, waiting for shipping price from them. Has anyone found a way to repair it saftly or have one made? The 95-97 has 3 lines that run from fuel pump to the front of the cab. This is the set that is bad. 97 3.0Lt. 40k miles 85 year old man drives it. Thank you in advance.

tomw is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
If this is the black plastic, sort of shiny stuff, Ford used to sell repair kits, where you could buy a length of tubing, some connectors, etc and repair places where it is cracked or mashed.
Per the shop manual, you can do three types of service on vehicles equipped with nylon fuel tubes: replace nylon tubing (splicing nylon to nylon), replacing push connector fittings and replacing damaged push connect tube end.
Check with your dealer for tubing (1/4" & 5/16"), barbed fittings and clamps availability.

Thank you. I will call the dealer on Mon. They didn't tell me anything but go to the bone yard. I told them that I would bring it to them for the repair, the tech and parts Manager said they would have to find the part in a bone yard. I will see about a repair kit.
