351M/400 crankshaft

Is the crankshaft on the 351M and the 400 the same? Doing a 408 conversion and need to know if I need a new crank.

You'll need the 400 crank and the 400 pistons

I was told a while back that to use 400 pistons you have to use 400 rods because of the lengths between the 351M and 400 were different. But the same crank could be used as long as you change the pistons and rods.
