67 352 headers

Got a 352 and I'm looking to put on some headers. Has anyone used any headers that fit and work well. I got some Hookers from Summit (the correct ones according to the tech) and they don't want to fit. Is cutting the fender well or something else required that I'm missing??

Little help please. Thanks!

Headers on a 67 is a tight fit and only a few brands seem to work. I was looking into this a few years ago, but after reading MANY posts on the subject I came to the conclusion that it may just be a major hassel unless you get the high price ceramic coated headers. Also if you have a camper special there are even more issues with fitting them on due to the front swaybar.

AJ, I have Hooker Super Comps on my FE.

The would be only one for a truck, but might be more than one for a car.

I tried three different sets, Hookers, Flowtech and a set of Hedman Shortys and nothing clears the steering box, I had to clearance my manifold so it wouldnt hit. I kept the Hedmans to use after I do my front suspension.
