Unhappy Truck Won't Start: Theft Light Blinking, Fuel Pump Relay...

Hey everyone, my truck won't start and I need some insight.

I was driving home on the highway the other night, my check engine light on, and the engine died. First thing I noticed is that the "theft" light would begin blinking with the key in the "on" position". Also, in the "on" position, the #4 relay (fuel pump) in the power box under the hood would continuously click/rattle. The truck would not start.

Took a look at it after it was towed home. The battery seems fine. The truck turns but it doesn't start. We smelled a lot of gas and found that there was fuel dripping around the exhaust manifold area. I'm not sure if this relates to the relay. Tried replacing and that didn't work.

I miss her already and any advice would be great here. Let me know if you need anything else. What else should I take a look at, should I check any fuses, etc. Thanks.

alloro is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
A blinking theft light usually means that the onboard PATS cannot read the chip in the key. That being the case, the PATS prevents the engine from being started.

Had the same thing happen to me.
It was the battery.
