if you want pictures of anything relating to the push-bar on my truck, just let me know,I will gladly take like pics of the underside of the push-bar.
Here he is from the side.
I love that push-bar,haven't used it yet,but it will be handy when I need to.
Here is a night shot...
Here is one of my favorite pics of my truck,it had rained that day so he looked good, not all dusty and rusty!
Another night shot of just the push bar...
A great night shot of the truck.
A great overall pic of my trust rusty beater.(at the time my right rear tire was flat).
Hope you enjoyed the pictures of my rust-bucket.
You know I was always looking for a reason to go to Canada again. LOL
Sayer Lane (we) didn't mean to high-jack your thread, just wanting to impress on you the importance and difficulties of getting of Ford truck parts.
I got the truck on the trailer for $100, and the 79 F250 Crew cab(white one in back ground) for $100.
In this pile I have a OEM 77 grill shell with inserts, 2 chrome front bumper's, 2 rear
(1 chrome, 1 painted), bedside chrome molding, highboy front spring set, lowboy spring set.
Push guards, drive shafts, at the end is an extra front radiator core support.
The tool boxes are full of eng stuff/interior stuff, a set of 38"s under the bed mat, extra hood. In the end after pulling every part of the trailer truck, piling the bed with extra metal what ever, I got $400 at the scrapper.
And have sold alot of the little parts for beer and gas money, not bad for a hobby.
hay, don't bad mouth your truck, as the saying goes out here in the rust belt,
"ONE MANS RUST, IS ANOTHER MANS TREASURE"
your truck looks to be in fine shape, next time i see some field fords out my way, i will take some pictures of what real rust is, your truck looks like a time capsule of a dentside in the 90s in the rust belt, trust me your truck is looking good, just pull out some rubbing compound and a buffer and go to town, then wax it and call it a day, oh wash it before any buffing!
many people my way would love to have a truck like yours, trust me, mine was in good shape, i just got new front fenders and new doors, and rear quarters on both sides, and cab corners and the lower door post corners on both doors, and a drivers floor pan, that is what qualifies as good around here, unless its a Arizona truck, mind you i had to do the rear quarters because of a body work screw up by the previous owner, also new front cab mounts, mine seemed fine, but figured what the heck,,,,,
mind you i haven't checked out your rust pictures you sent me, i have been busy, will check them tomorrow, its late on the EST time zone, i am done for tonight,

nice collection of parts there 77&79F250, it pays to build up a stock pile, what ever you don't use, becomes hobby income, thus you can buy more parts or what ever,
also i like that red and white truck in the background, but then again i am a huge fan of that paint combo, mind you i don't have the race track trim to add red to the lower edge, and i am going straight white like the older trucks had, just like the previous owner did, except modern colors, Ford Colorado Red and Mustang Performance white,

Yea I bought the red/white one from a buddy to help him out. He ended not being such a bud after I got everyhing fixed on it, he had it totally jacked up.
So its on the sale block now, MO chapter classifieds, if interested. Crew cab sold also, before the restoration bug bit me, it was 2wd anyway, not that that is a bad thing, I use a 4x4 around the farm like cows eat grass, ALOT.
you guys are really lucky to have those parts and all that stuff for trucks like our but even though i live in Georgia you wouldn't believe how few 70' model fords there are here. after the gas prices went up everybody decided to get rid of them instead of waiting. and dont worry about hijacking my thread i think most of the people who are gonna post already posted so thanks guys. i'm gonna try to scrape some extra cash up and go buy all the things i can at the junk yard pretty soon

i hope your not leaving JED in the forest to die? i was referring to the plate, the truck looks like its name should be JED anyways, just don't let him die in the forest, and that is a nice push bar, i would guess back in the 70s and into the 80s there was lots of aftermarket things like push bars and side steps, and other little things that they don't make anymore, which is too bad, i think there is a market for that kind of stuff,

Untill next time, I leave you with these words of wisdom...
if you ask nice, maybe 77f2504by4 will make up a drawing with dimensions, and the size of round pipe that is made out of, the rest seems easy enough to make, all you need is someone to bend a long pipe twice on the top pipe then the bottom, then all you need to do is add in the straight parts, and fab up the 2 main masts out of thick flat steel,
i would suggest getting the dimensions for the 2 main mast's then take that too a local place that does custom metal work, if there a good shop, they will have a CNC plasma machine, thus they can cut out the 2 masts from your specs, then all you have to do is make up a simple jig or get someone to help you weld the 2 cross pipes in, then weld your top and bottom pipes on with the bent ends, then weld in the outer straight support, and the cross support what follows the upper 73-77 turn signal,
it all seems easy enough for me, heck i might even like a dimensional drawing too, maybe some day down the road i might want something like that made for my truck
i am sure 77f2504by4 would not mind at all, and i would say that bush bar was a great buy, i can't say i have seen one like that either,
the good part is, i think a regular pipe bender might be able to do those bends, there is another method people tend to forget about, that may work, you can always get a 2 strong friends, and a torch, and simply heat up the area you want the bend, then find a tree the proper thickness, and once its nice and red, have them bend the pipe around the tree to get your 90,
if you use a pipe with a thick enough wall, it should not kink, its worth a try, you might even be able to buy solid round bar, that would be super tough, and would be better to bend, vs a pipe that could kink or distort when bent,
its all worth a shot,
and cheaper and easier than finding one,
