Quick question about the door unlock button

Suddenly, my door unlock button (either side) will not unlock the doors - is there a specific fuse for the unlock button?

Seems too odd for BOTH door unlock buttons to go out at the very same time.

Any ideas?

I don't have my book handy, but I think there is a fuse located in the power distribution box (under the hood). I could also be a ground problem.

As I recall, there is a relay or some component under the glove box/dash near the floor board.

I had to have a passenger door lock replaced on my 2000 f150 SC. One dealer told me they wouldn't do anything till I paid them $40 to do an electronic check to see if it was the lock, a door switch, or this relay setup under the dash. After agreeing, they said it was the door lock assembly but didn't have one in stock. I paid the 40 bucks and decided they could stick their dealership where the sun don't shine. I got it fixed somewhere else. I tried but it must take a special tool(s) to reach the lock.

Thanks for the replies guys, but you wanna hear something crazy?

I tried the unlock button this morning, on a whim, and the dang thing works just fine. BOTH of them.

I have no idea what wnet on to cause this - I'm just gonna count my blessings and keep my trap shut.

Thanks again!
