Well here is a picture of it in the truck. Now I just got to get the rest of the truck to look as good.

I do have a least one oil leak and that is at the push rod cover. I noticed it was a little angled when I was cleaning it but didn't try and straighten it out. I'm going to take the one off the other motor and clean it up and put it on.

What ignition timing are some of you running? I know it may vary due to where you live. Right now I'm at 10 degrees advanced but I have a vacuum leak at my brake booster and have to put the new one on before I can start tuning the motor. I also have a unilte mechanical distributor to put in too.

Mine is a looong way from being that clean. Thankfully though, I've not really had to spend much time under the hood, save for an alternator and water pump replacement.

My valve cover was leaking so when it came time to replace the gasket I also took the extra time/effort to paint it nice and good too. I kinda like the Ford gray and as someone else stated earlier, maybe when the rest of the truck is complete I may pull it and give it a make-over for appearance sake.

What I have been doing in the meantime is to slowly start to tape the wire bundles up, place them inside the split look tubing...etc. Little things make a big difference over time.

Your right, the little things do add up over time and make a big difference.

I got my push rod cover replaced today and now have no more leaks there.
But in the process I had the distributor out to help make the replacement easier. I got the timing off and my carb backfired and blowed the power valve out on my holley. Got to work on that Saturday. My gas mileage just went to crap since I blew it out.

My power steering is leaking a little somewhere which I need to find out where.
