Need a new center dash panel

I need a new panel, bezel, whatever it's called. You know, the one that goes around the radio, hvac controls, and center dash a/c vents. The one with the little tabs at the top. That break if you aren't careful. Anybody got one, or know where I can get one? Thanks.

They are common to explorers, rangers and B series. You can find them on ebay or almost any junkyard! They come in different configurations for different models, ie some have fog lights, some have rear window washers, multiple cig lighters, etc. I got one from an explorer, going to use the fog light switches and going to wire the push button rear window fluid to sound an airhorn! I know that does not answer the "does anyone have one" question, but you might have one closer than you realize.

What year is it? I've got a spare one in a 96 Ranger.

Thanks for the offer Stan, but near as I can tell they changed in '02 to allow for the aux 12v dc plug. All the ones I found on eBay today were for 93-01 and they don't look like mine.

When I replaced mine, I originally had 2 cig plugs like you mention. I took the second one and using a cig lighter extension cord, ran it into my glove box (I also have a dc/ac converter in there).

Just brainstorming here!

Hmm, that's a thought. Wonder if I could get it into the armrest console....

Not hard to do. If you have the standard 60/40 bench, you would have to remove one of the seats and fish a cord under the carpet, cut a small hole, then run a "curley" extension up the back side. Another small hole could be used to get it inside the armrest. Maybe $10 in stuff if you dont do all the wiring yourself.

I call BS on eBay, my '98 has the extra 12v plug (which is busted and has pushed through) and my grandpa's '99 has it too, while the '96 at work does not. I'd guess they added it in '98 with the group of revisions they made.

On whichever bezel you do end up finding, be sure the plastic around the plug is in good condition...like I said, mine cracked and the plug pushed on through. If you go junkyarding, you may want to pull the wires and not disturb the plug in the bezel.

Yeah, thats why I replaced mine. I have tried to figure out exactly what the method was for deciding what truck/suv got which bezel....but have long since given up.

My 97 has three plugs-ins. One in the ash tray, two on the bezel. Not sure about my 96, I'll look at it tomorrow.

i found one at a junkyard for $5. you can have my old one if you dont mind minor fire damage from the cig lighter being retarded. if you look around long enough you will find one. i went to 3 places and found several different styles.
