Official Wyoming June BS thread- Let the jabbering begin!!

It was a mess. Tried to get the truck fixed, got frustrated and went to the races in Douglas as a spectator. It was annoying slow paced so I left after the messed around long enough and it started to rain. Took the engine out saturday afternoon and apart on sunday afternoon. Looks like the second ring on cylinder 4 is broken. This appears to be giving 160 pounds of compression but no oil control, so the oil is distributing itself up the valve and around the intake manifold.

Good afternoon every one, I had gotten misplaced with the new thread for June but here I' am at last. I can only amagine Sat. not being a fun day in your life Miles. Sorry to hear of the troubles and hope things come together real quick. What you spoke of with your oil rings is more comon than a person likes to think. I have broke down fairly new motors that had something hapen to the oil rings causing the thing to suck oil like it was going out of style even though the compression was good.

Good wet Wyoming day,.......I love the sun but know we need this but drat......I miss the sun. OK now I' am whinning but I' am the one that thinks that it should get up to around 90 F and then just warm right on up.
On a different note I have been invaded by aliens or at least one........my grandson has come to visit and me along with the two cats and dogs are learning what to do with a 3 year boy full of energy that is trapped inside because it is raining out side. There has been some new things so far that has kept him entertained though one of which has been a wooden snake with a strip of fabric running down the middle. I have no idea where this thing come from but if you set it out in someones camper or vehicle and they were to bump it the thing will squirm around like a real snake some what. Grandson has refused to let that thing go since he found it right off this morning. "WALL-E" seems to be a hit as well which alows me to catch my breath and figure out what to next.
