Are you talking about 6cylBill?

I think he wants a regular cab long bed now. He said something about it the other day.

I love the truck but I'm just disgusted with everything I've done to the truck (tires, gears, body lift, exhaust). I wish I had never touched the truck. Ford got it right the first time.

Plus I want a real 4x4. Not a poser.

Regular cab long bed four wheel drive with a manual. Almost any motor, but would prefer the I6 for simplicity and longetivity. If anyone is interested, send me a PM. I'm up here in WV now.

I felt the same way about mine. I put a small suspension lift on it with 32 11.50s for a while. Most of the time I had it it was stock with 31s. Anyway I did that and had ranch hand bumpers on it etc. I was disgusted with that as well and took all that crap off and made my truck almost stock again except for exhaust and some small mods. I absolutely love it now.

You might be happier with your truck if you took the lift and tires etc off and put it back near stock. I'd even change the 4.10s for 3.55s. If nothing else it will probably be easier to sell like that.

If I had your flareside I would have left it alone and kept street tires on. I think that 2wd flaresides make an awesome street truck.

I thought you liked your exhaust?

seriously? your selling it? oh come on dude! man all that money you've put into you'll likely never get back. just let it go for a lil while and let it sit maybe you'll fall even deeper in love kinda like girls. sometimes you have to take a break to truly realize its meant to be.

I'm really glad you understand how I feel.

Do you have any pictures of your truck like that? I'm glad to know I'm not the only guy who went with the 4x4 look on a 4x2. I've thought about taking all that crap off, but I've got a lot of money into it (I was ripped off with the lift, won't go into details).

I'll probably end up just driving the truck into the ground. I really can't see anyone buying the truck. Especially up here where a 4x4 is something you almost need.

My exhaust sounds like crap compared to a V8 or Cummins. It's just like.. Why did I do all this to my truck?

More money than brains I guess (which is really, really sad).

I'm not all out selling it hardcore style. It's one of those things I'm keeping my ears open. Any time someone compliments my truck I'll ask them if they are interested in buying it. If I was settled down right now I'd be more intent on selling it.

I doubt anyone will buy it anyway so I'll just drive the truck until I can't or until I can come down on the price.

I have an old picture of it with all the off road crap. I'll try to upload it again and post it for you.

I think you should take the off road stuff off and sell it.

If you don't like the exhaust then just get a 50 series or something to make it a bit quieter. I think the exhaust sounds good though.

I think you would really like it better with it back in near stock form.

i have a guess on why you did all that work on your truck, cause you wanted something different than all the other 4x2 6cyl flaresides and it was your first vehicle i was the same way at 16 and im still wanting to do things to my vehicle i hated my 6 at first but now i wouldnt trade it for anything and im sure someone would buy your truck if i had the money and the space i would buy it cause it a great looking and sounding truck

Hey Man, I haven't seen you around the fourms lately. I'm glad you poked your head in here.
I wouldn't mind having a roll cage actually (the kind that sits in the bed, flush to the cab). Added insurance in case I fall off a cliff, heh.

Hey, I really appreciate you uploading the pictures. I am eager to see your truck. And thanks for saying my exhaust sounds good. That means something coming from a V8 driver.

You pretty much said it. I wanted something different. I didn't want to stand out but I wanted my truck to have this aggresive apearance and attitude. I bought the truck when I was 15 or so and when I started working steady I was able to throw some money around. Now I'm a little older and a little wiser. I wanted the body lift to finish off the truck. Now I think it looks like a 15 year old kid drives it.

But thanks Bud. I really appreciate what you said about my truck.
