buckets in place of a bench??? How hard.

have any of you ever put bucket seats in a reg cab truck to replace the factory bench. I think this would be a great thing becaus then i could add a lockable storage unit and two rifel/shotgun holders for hunting. Also there would be more room for the long shifter on my 4 spd manual trans.

You have to drill all new holes and you need to add something under the floor to re-enforce the mounting point. Factory bucket seat trucks have extra metal under the cab to hold them in during a crash. I used the biggest, thickest washers I could find.

thats no big deal as i have to weld in a basically new floor pan. Mine is rusted out no holes through that i can see but the underneath is all rusted away and the floor feels kind of soft. I can just add extra metal after I weld on the new steel. Ionce i get to the buckets point i'll drill the holes and then weld over them with nice like 3/16 or 1/4 " thick steel plates that should hold nicely. thanks for the quick eairly morning reply.

Been there, done that.

80/86 Bronco seats and center console installed. I liked them best because they are low bucket and don't stick up past the rear window too far:

They do look great, and they're in awesome shape.

I want to say you can use the seats and console from 87-91 F/Broncos. I know the console is the same, and I'm pretty sure the seats are identical to these as well. It's just been a long time since I had my '90.

I used buckets from a 1990 F-250. The nice thing about bronco buckets is the passenger side seat flips up so if you have a SC truck, it makes rear seat entry a little easier.

You aren't texting your 14 year old BFF here.

Typing like that just makes you look stupid.

Please try and use some legible English......

Festus Hagen is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.
Don't worry about it... Stosh gets a little cranky when he hasn't had his second cup of wake up!

But I will say that you will get better responses with well written topics and questions.

Poor topics are skipped.
Posts that need deciphering get skipped.

-Enjoy

I was on my 4th cup when I posted and fully awake.

Festus put it best. You aren't going to gain any respect around here with such poor grammar. Not from me any way.

Plus the fact that what you posted had nothing to add to the topic. Nobody here needs to hear that you have issues either. We all do and this forum is not the place for you convey them.

Normally when I see such jibberish, I just skip over the post and don't even waste my time.

If you need help with something, then I'd be glad to help if you ask properly and sensibly.
