Then I better not tell you what is on the menu for tonight. It is left over smoked pork loin, corn on the cobb and possibly salt potatos. For those that do not know, salt potatos are the small ones about 1-1 12" in size and they are boiled in salt water. Then you dip them in melted butter

Well, dinner is going to be much better than lunch. I have a good friend who makes italian sausages that are just unreal! So, having those for dinner, and picking up some sweetcorn from my mother-in-laws farm to go with it!
Them 'taters sound damn good man!

Your dinner sounds pretty good too. We did italian sausage on the grill the other night and had sweet corn with that and it was good. I will need to roast some sweet corn on the grill over the weekend.

I love this time of year, when you can get fresh sweet corn! I can just eat myself sick with sweet corn! Especially getting it free from the farm.
Are you going to the ATN's? Steve, from SoCal, is coming through Omaha on monday. I'm going to take him and his wifey out for breakfast tuesday morning before they head east.

I wish I could go this year, just don't have the money or the time. Maybe next year. Would have been nice this year, could have convoyed out with Steve. He is going to stop in Cheyenne and pick up some wheels he's buying from Miles, the WY CL.

Yes, Pat, the creek is back within its banks. Thanks for asking. The basement is drying out slowly. Check out the below link, scroll down to top video and click on "Pouring rain sends water raging across the Capital Region". At about the 2:00 mark they talk about my town and yours truly is discussing the culvert.

I had some cheese pizza while I sat and watched a portable pump run. Thankfully, I had some lawn chairs with me.
Sounds like the same thing that I did when I went down to Broome County (Binghamton) in June '06. My department along with another 6 from Wayne County went down for two days. Six of us were sent to the little village of Deposit which is on the border of Deleware and Broome Counties.
The second day while there, they sent all six departments to start pumping out basements in the same neighborhood. When it flooded there, one house that we where pumping at the water was half way up the first floor windows. Now that would make it about 8" deep in the street and it came up in about 30 minutes according to the owner. As you can tell we were pummping basements that were full of water, so once the pumps were set up, we broke out the chairs and sat around waiting.

Hey Brad, at the 2:53 spot on the video, is that your house ?? White with the looks of it a Blue Ford in the driveway.
Yup, that's my palace. That's the wife's new Taurus X that I moved to higher ground not too long after that interview. My truck was the silver F-250 sitting in the road as the camera scanned around.
